Into The Woods | Review

Recently I watch a the movie Into the Woods, and I thought I would share with you my thoughts. So let's get to it!!!!

The movie is about a Baker (played by James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who wish they could have a child. One day the are visited by a witch (Meryl Streep) who would grant them that wish but in return she wanted 4 items. The red cloak worn by little miss riding hood, the cow white was milk, the hair as gold as corn and the cinderellas slipper. They have to get the special item to the witch before the moon turns blue.

The actors in this movie was a really good choice of casting. Johnny Depp was the wolf. Anna Kendrick was Cinderella. Chris Pine was Prince Charming. Tracey Ullman was the mother of Jack who sells the cow for magic beans. Jack was played by Daniel Huttlestone who previously play Gavroche in Les Miserables.

The music was by Stephan Sondhelm whowrote the music for Sweeney Todd. I found the music to be very similar to Sweeney Todd, very dramatic. I also found that there was too music, which I find is weird for me. Every scene had a song that was related to the moment in the movie, and some song were reprises to previous ones.

The movie itself was quite well done. A very clever story line. The only problem was that I felt it was too long. Especially with the extra story line at the end that lasted 45 minutes. This movie would have been fine being and hour and fifteen minutes long. In my opinion, for not being a well known actor at the time, I felt that James Corden completely stole the whole movie, he was absolutely brilliant.

I would give this movie a 3/5 stars. It a good movie but it could have been better if they made it shorter.

That's it for now. Talk to you later!!!!
